Help support school communities affected by Hurricane Harvey

News

Like so many others across the country, we've been thinking about how we can help communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey. At Remind, the back-to-school season is one of the busiest, most exciting times of the year—but school districts across southeastern Texas are only beginning to assess the damage caused by the storm. Although teachers and students are starting to return to school, the long-term impact is still unclear. To help these school communities get back to learning as soon as possible, please join Remind in giving to the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund set up by DonorsChoose.org, a great nonprofit organization that funds classroom project requests. As teachers return to hurricane-damaged classrooms and assess their needs, DonorsChoose.org will use 100% of these recovery funds to support their projects.Partnering with us to spread the word are our friends at Quizlet, Khan Academy, Edmodo, Newsela, Seesaw, Duolingo, and Socratic. We know funds are tight for everyone, but even a few dollars will go directly to teachers and students affected by Hurricane Harvey—and together, we can help make a difference in their school year.Texas folks, you're in our hearts. From the updates we've gotten from Houston-based team members to the stories you've shared about teachers like Ryan McCann and coaches like Jeremiah Dye, we've been so moved and impressed by your resilience and compassion—and we'll be rooting for you on the journey ahead.
