Professional development resource guide

Community

Back to School is the perfect time to share Remind at a teacher in-service or professional development. We're here to help with resources and tips from our Remind Connected Educators.

All the resources you need for a successful PD:

(1) Presentation slideshowImpress your team with a beautifully designed slideshow. Make a copy, edit in Google Drive, and you're good to go. Note: you must be logged into Gmail or Google Drive to access this resource.(2) Guided notesKeep your crowd focused—or at least off their phones—by printing this document, making copies, and handing them out before getting started.(3) Remind overview for teachersQuickly share info with anyone who's interested in learning more about using Remind. Copy/paste the link above or download a PDF and attach via email.

Want to spice up your presentation? Remind Connected Educators recommend highlighting these examples:

"The chat feature is MONEY! Chats show up as text messages on your phone, and you can respond by replying to the text. It's a simple, safe communication tool that students and parents can easily navigate and use to communicate with teachers."—Rachel K"I encourage teachers to stop spending time writing newsletters, which can take more than an hour. Instead, spend three minutes sending a quick message on Remind."—Nick L"I hate when communication with parents is based solely on their child's behavior. Remind allows parents to talk to me about issues they're having or just ask simple questions—without feeling weird."—Christina B"Remind allows you to reach everyone where they are—without giving out your personal number. Scheduled messages are amazing."—Jessi C"In the past 2-3 years, I've gotten 100+ educators to sign up for Remind through PD sessions. I emphasize that Remind makes my life so much easier and allows me to learn more about my students."—Joe A"The translate feature is so useful! I had a mom who only spoke Arabic, and we were able to communicate and get her son what he needed because of Remind."—Anita S

Help inspire other educators (and the Remind team!) by sharing your PD on social media using #remindpd.
