To start a teaching job with Remind Tutoring, the application process is easy:
Once selected, you’ll set up your schedule and prepare for your first session!
To tutor with Remind, we require that you are either acertified teacher with at least a year of teaching experience in the classroom or have several years of math tutoring experience.
You can teach one or more of the following subjects: 2nd–6th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Statistics, and Statistics
You are eligible to work in the United States and you must pass a background check.
You’ll be paid twice a month through direct deposit.
Once you’re a Remind Math Tutor, you’ll set your regular availability. Then we’ll schedule you with students based on the hours you’ve set and the subjects you teach. Sessions are either 40 or 60 minutes long.
We ask that tutors provide at least 5 hours of availability a week.
Monday through Friday: 12PM - 8PM PST
Saturday through Sunday 7AM – 6PM PST
Tutoring sessions are scheduled in advance for either 40 or 60 minutes.
Before a tutoring session, you’ll receive details about the student and homework directly from the student or parent through secure messaging on Remind.
During a tutoring session, you’ll work with the student through video on the Remind web platform and a virtual whiteboard. You’ll have access to our tutoring curriculum resources to pull from as needed.
You’ll need a computer or laptop with a strong internet connection. An additional touchscreen device is preferred, but optional.
